SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Napoleon Harris III (D-Harvey) released the following statement regarding the Illinois Senate’s passage of the Fiscal Year 2027 budget and House Bill 958:
“First of all, I wanted to highlight that not only did the Senate pass a balanced budget, we gave the Chicago Bears a valid option to stay in Illinois. Beyond that, my top priority continues to be making sure people in our communities get a fair shot, from our kids in the classroom to working families and seniors who deserve to retire with dignity after a lifetime of hard work. This year’s balanced budget reflects that commitment by investing in our local schools, delivering property tax relief and strengthening the long-term stability of our state.”
